Home Acne Treatments
If your acne is mild to moderate there are several home acne treatments you can try as everything you need can be bought from your local grocery store.
One natural acne treatment used quite frequently is acidophilus, which surprisingly is a bacteria that lives in the intestines. These bacteria can be used to fight the acne causing bacteria and help cleanse the body and reduce acne.
You could try bean tea. Boil a package of green beans in a quarter of a pint of water for about ten minutes, add three tablespoons of dry chamomile, cover and leave to cool. Drain off the water and bottle it. Use the remaining 'tea' to wash it three times a week.
Aloe vera gel or juice promotes acne healing (although it can be drying so after applying it make sure you use a moisturizer afterwards). Lemon juice also can help as it removes oil, kills bacteria and balances the skins PH levels.
Even applying sugary water and olive oil can help clear up acne. Sugar has an antibacterial agent in that can clear your skin of blemishes or acne.
Natural oatmeal is another example of a natural cure that can help. Apply lukewarm cooked oatmeal to your face and leave it on there for about 12 minutes and the wash it off. It works as an astringent removing impurities and oil, helping keep skin free from acne and clean.
